I started with a New Beetle Powerwheels which I bought for my daughter,
she's a little small to be driving it yet anyway soI have some time to
do some tinkering.

Here's the project as it now sits, I've cut out a substantial part
of the structural plastic and suspension, and have greated a square tube
frame for it.

the rubber tires I used were much bigger than the plastic ones
that were on it originally, I chose this size because it was the malles
pneumatic tire I could find (on that particular day.), it fits within the
fender alright and gives it a slightly beefire stance.

This is the motivation, two 24v wheelchair motors. they are powerfull
suckers, I guess they dray a little too much current, because I smoked
the speed control boards for them, so I'm contemplating a series-paralell
relay setup, this would give only three speeds total, but is much cheaper
to do than replacing the $400 control boards, and I'm much less likely
to smoke it.
